ZAMIM enjoys good reputation for its renowned expertise through its Consultancy & Management Development services and conducts research and consultancies, and short-term in-service programs that are designed to bridge performance gaps. The Institute runs both general and tailor-made programmes designed to address specific organizational training needs in various core competencies.
The Institute has executed a number of management consultancy assignments which have been highly acclaimed by several local and international organisations
Courses offered by ZAMIM on its campuses include Accountancy, Marketing, Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply and Banking and Finance. The Secondary Teachers Diploma (in conjunction with Mukuba University) is only offered at Chingola Campus.
Enrolments: The institute runs two semesters of six months’ duration each in January and July. Enrolments for both intakes are conducted all year round for full time courses.
As part of its responsibility ZAMIM also conducts part-time courses in the evening for members of the public who are unable to enroll in its full-time programs. Open Distance and Flexible Learning is also offered through online platforms.
Lessons for courses under Open Distance & Flexible Learning commence at any time of the year upon enrolment.
ZAMIM is a recognized center of excellence in professional and in-service training, offering practical management development programs to public and private sector organizations, as well as NGOs in Zambia and the SADC/COMESA region. It has recently undertaken notable assignments in these areas.
Developed training materials and conducted the Orientation of Procurement Officers in TEVET Institutions in Procurement Processes and Procedures Workshop.
Designed the training programme, developed the training materials and conducted a series of workshops in Credit Management and Strategic Marketing Management.
Designed the training programme, developed the training materials and conducted a workshop in Effective Report and Speech Writing for Gender in Development Division aimed at equipping GIDD staff with necessary skills to produce quality reports and speeches.
Designed the training programme, developed the training materials and conducted a five-day Project Management Course for management staff as part of CEC’s staff capacity building programme.
Conducted the a number of tailor made short courses funded by the Skills Development Fund (SDF), supported by the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) under the Employer Based Training Project. These include:
Facilitated and rapporteur on an Issue Oriented Workshop for procurement professionals that were drawn from a cross section of the World Bank funded projects.
Designed training materials and conducted training on Financial Management to participants that were drawn from utility companies across the SADC/COMESA region.
Facilitated and rapporteur on the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) workshop on the development and implementation of the CRS Finance Manual.
